Cefalù and its typical dishes

Cefalù is well-known for its special restaurants, which will please every culinary desire of you, among all we suggest you: Ittico, a famous restaurant by the sea, perfect in evey occasion (and fish-based), B.I.F. Braceria fuorimondo, where you’ll find delicious meats and the best wines to wash down with, and if you look for something faster, you can’t miss a wonderful aperitif at bars in via Carlo Ortolani di Bordonaro, choose your favourite!

Among the many typical courses, also, you can’t miss the “Pasta a taianu”, literally “pasta made with pan”, seasoned with meat juice, fried eggplants, and pecorino (Italian sheep’s milk cheese), served on a crock pan that locals cook in honour of the festival of San Salvatore, patron of the hamlet.

Food is culture, and tasting is a different way to know Cefalù.
